Overview
Tokyo Grill is a Japanese restaurant chain that offers both take out and dine in. I would classify Tokyo Grill as more of a take out place as the seating inside Tokyo Grill is limited and not very high quality. Tokyo Grill has 13 different locations around the midlands and a number of locations across the city of Columbia. For me Tokyo Grill is a great place to grab take out Japanese food in Columbia, SC when I am either on a crunch for time and don’t want to worry about cooking or dealing with a sit down dining experience.
Experience
The experience at Tokyo Grill can vary greatly from visit to visit but the food will always be solid. For a takeout restaurant Tokyo Grill offers some pretty solid food. Whether you want hibachi shrimp, hibachi chicken, a bento box, or something else on their huge menu, you can count on your food being really good. While the quality may not be up to par with nicer sit down asian restaurants in Columbia, SC, for the price it is pretty hard to beat.
You can order Tokyo Grill over the phone, online, or in the restaurant at the register. The employees can be rude at times but other times they are perfectly pleasant. I have not been to all of the Tokyo Grill locations in Columbia but the location that I frequent is on Forest Drive. The interior is not the most high end but is certainly cleaner and better designed than some other hole in the wall Chinese or Japanese restaurants you will come across.
